Earned donations
edit- "Users are encouraged to donate after watching the films and some releases have earned over $30,000 to date."
This seems outdated. I just donated to the latest Pioneer One episode, and it has received $89,567,[1] almost thrice the listed amount. Am I missing something or is the info simply outdated? - quispiamtalk [Anton Nordenfur] 12:33, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
http 522
editI cannot remember exactly when I last browsed their website, but I can say that I did so more than three years ago; as of yesterday and today, http://vodo.net returns a 522.
Someone holds the lease on their domain name, and it probably isn't parked by one of those resellers. Does anyone recognize the IP addresses resolved from it?

At "https://www.facebook.com/VODO-133512649996271/", a link is given to http://vo.do — which is not registered for my DNS. — JamesEG (talk) 21:21, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
VODO seems to be out of business. Website is dead.
editThis article needs to be updated to reflect that the Vodo.net website is dead. I changed the dead external links to their archive.org pages. It seems that the most recent live page was archived in 2013 so it has been dead for over 10 years.
I also added a link to the list of all of their films. I successfully downloaded every single torrent file from that archived page. Almost all of the torrents are still seeded.

- The last succesful capture of Vodo was in 2019. But in 2013 there was a redesign of the website, and the path for the films changed. After the redesign, the links aren't properly accessible any more, so for now I think it's good to keep the link to the last capture with torrents.
Would it be acceptable to list all of their films on this page with torrent links?
editAs I stated in my previous post, I was able to successfully download all of the torrent files for their films. However, digging out all of those torrent files was a real chore! I think it would be beneficial to readers of this article to list all of the VODO films on this page and include a link to the torrent file of each film. That would have saved me a _lot_ of work. To save people from having to do what I did, I put all of the torrent files on the live web here: [2] -- Ubh [talk... contribs...] 00:08, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- I'm too new to make a decissions like this, but if having as many torrents as possible is relevant, I've been trying to get all the torrents myself in the past, I found
- https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://vodo.net/media/torrents/*
- https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://vodo.net/assets/torrents/*
- https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://vodo.net/download/torrent/*
- https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://vodo.net/torrent/*
- I think Enemy.of.the.Mind.2012.Xvid-VODO.torrent was not captured, but I have it on my seedbox, torrent hash 79892884466af373aa026ccc5f8ea8c780b430b9
- Some of those are newer torrents than the last 2013 capture, some are older, but were removed from Vodo by then (Snowblind and Zenith come to mind, I'm unsure of others)
