Seems the 1928 date is correct, with 1932 presumably being a "vanity age"; her parents are given in some sources (for example, Who's Who in the Theatre, 16th edition, 1981, which however states she was born in 1932) as Frank Orvin Percy Harrison and Muriel Clare, née Smith, and the birth of Valerie Harrison registered in June 1928 at Croydon, mother's maiden name "Smith" is the only record between 1927 and 1933 that matches.
