Serbian scholar Valtazar Bogišić (1834–1908), the one for which he is best known is his magnum opus: General Property Code for the Principality of Montenegro (Opšti imovinski zakonik za Knjaževinu Crnu Goru) of 1888. This is a civil code which does not include family and inheritance law, and has therefore been designated as property code. [[1]]

There is a much more extensive and more nicely written article at the Serbian wikipedia. sr:Валтазар Богишић. If anyone is willing to translate, feel free. Antidote 20:28, 19 January 2006 (UTC) It should be clarified whether he was of Serbian or Croation origin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.189.149.27 (talk) 00:02, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

The quoted Croatian article as well as every historical source considere Bogisic to be a Serb. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Luzzifer (talkcontribs) 16:12, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Protecting the article

There are malicious edits in process, that is - vandalism is at hand. Valtazar considered himself a Serbs and was of Serbian origin, therefore I am asking for this article to be protected, in order to not start an edit war.
