This looks very silly! And very un-D. But as to:

"The plot of American Wasteland was for the first time to see the titular Vampire Hunter D arrive on the shores of America, a land where the vampiric Nobility persists, uninterrupted by those who seek to destroy them. There, D would have embarked on a journey inland while bringing their menace to an end.[5]"

Just for the record, D's world is 10,000 AD. The books are set on The Frontier, which is North America, only ~8,000 years from now, probably with a little continental drift and terra-forming. The Frontier is really the entire planet outside of The Capital, which is a super city that is distinctly different. The normal currency in 10,000 AD is "dallas" which is clearly an evolution on the word "dollars", and Vampire Hunter D is first and foremost a western, inspired by Hollywood westerns; and maybe some Italian "spaghetti westerns."

And so, to say D arrives on the shore of America is patent nonsense! Everywhere D goes looks like the U.S. more or less. America doesn't rightly exist in 10,000 AD. Just read the books before making comics out of them?! --72.173.205.60 (talk) 20:24, 17 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
