Station to be called Varsity Lakes?
editIn the state budget papers released this year, it was announced that the money was put aside for "extension of the Gold Coast rail line from Robina to Varsity Lakes". So perhaps the station will be called Varsity Lakes instead of Reedy Creek? [1]
Do we have anything which shows the current planned station name? I noted in the Varsity Lakes, Queensland article that the station is being built there, so if this is wrong I'd like to update this. --Nicko 02:44, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
The station has been announced in all Ministerial releases, the SEQ-RP and SEQIPP and a variety of other sources as being named Reedy Creek. Varsity Lakes is a large development/particular suburb near it, but it is to be named Reedy Creek I believe for historical reasons (i.e. the old station on the previou incarnation of the line) and the other, older adjacent suburb. - I must now qualify my earlier above comment, asthe most recent SEQIPP Rail Alliance documents indicate that the station will be called Varsity Lakes. Without a firm announcement though, I would keep it as is for now. SM247My Talk 02:56, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- I found this [2] if it helps. --WikiCats 05:12, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Ok, so its time to move this article?
editGoing through the press release WikiCats released, maybe its time to move this to Varsity Lakes railway station, Queensland, agree? --Arnzy (talk • contribs) 07:23, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. --WikiCats 07:50, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
