Excellent to have this article linked on the main page -- proofread first!
editI changed "Verdicchio is the principle grape" to "Verdicchio is the principal grape" in the introduction. I'm embarrassed. Before an article is linked from the main page, isn't it checked a little bit? Wastrel Way (talk) 18:08, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Info in this page is (at least) 20 years old
editIt's a pity to see that the international view on the Verdicchio is still attached to the 1950s style popularized by the "amphora" bottle from Fazi-Battaglia. This is just one example of how the italian way of making wine is misunderstood in the world. I can't really blame you, since the quality of the wine Italy exports is way below its average. But if you wish to write an encyclopedia article, you should consult with people who know the subject. You'll see that well-made verdicchio constantly ranks among the top italian white wines, and that it is capable of 20+ years of aging.
That's no point of view, but a well-known fact. --Xelloss (talk) 15:32, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
