Clarify
editI tagged three sentences in this article with {{clarifyme}} because I did not fully understand them:
- Personal information of the. That's not a complete sentence.
- ... in the Chinese language, the words for "yellow" and "erotic" share similar pronunciations. Does this apply only to Mandarin or to other varieties of Chinese as well?
- Meanwhile some critics also pointed out that it's full of Kuso during internet, which acts as collectivity violence, cultural oaf. This sentence, particularly the last four words, just does not make sense in English. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:04, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
fixed the first one, I never noticed that I forgot to fill the rest of that in as an oversight. ViperSnake151 15:21, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- In the Chinese language, the words for "yellow" and "erotic" do not share similar pronunciations. Not for Mandarin, not for any other varieties of Chinese. It is just the Chinese word for "yellow" (黃) itself that means "pornography", similar to the English word "blue" as in "a blue movie", which means "a pornographic movie". --Yejianfei (talk) 14:24, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
uncyclopedia
editThis phenomenon is very big in the Chinese version Uncyclopedia. -- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs 04:30, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
EDIT: See http://zh.uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/%E5%BE%88%E9%BB%84%EF%BC%8C%E5%BE%88%E6%9A%B4%E5%8A%9B for an example. This phrase has become a very big internet meme in China, popular in forums and the likes. -- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs 07:59, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
