editAs requested by Dp67, I've looked at this article for future GAC. I think there are sufficient references, they just need more inline citations, particularly the quotations and statements of opinion. For example, who said Bloede "possessed the power of handling large groups of men and coordinating their energies so that the best results would be obtained"? Without a citation, a GAC reviewer is likely to consider it POV.
The article has overwikilinking. I've removed some, but the dates and wikilinks need more copyediting per the guidelines here and here.
The Lead needs to be strengthened, with a thumbnail-like summarizing of his key accomplishments, i.e., inventor of the new dyeing methods, 15-20 patents (which is it?), invented postage stamp glue, founded a bank, philanthropist, etc., then the rest of the article elaborates on each. See WP:LEAD
The exact birth/death dates should be given in the opening sentence and infobox. Another thing a GAC reviewer will look at very closely is image licensing: shouldn't these be {{PD-US}} instead of cc-by-2.0?
Overall, there's good detail and use of pictures is effective. The article gives the casual reader not familiar with the subject a good understanding of who Bloede was and what he did. Once these style guidelines are incorporated, it should be ready for a formal GAC review.JGHowes talk - 22:43, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
