I don't have all the information I need to make a change here, and besides, I'd rather avoid the chance of stumbling into an edit/revert war; but Plausible Denial, which was published in 1991 (My copy is packed away in storage somewhere, hence inaccessible to me just now...), reports the successful conclusion of the appeal sometime in the mid-to-late 1980's, not 1995 as is currently reported here. My recollection is that the outcome of the first trial was overturned in 1983 due to a finding of faulty jury instructions, and the second trial at least began in 1985. It may have even finished the same year; but in at all events, it was completely over by no later than some time in 1988. HuWants2No (talk) 02:36, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
