Birth date
editHis birth date was probably earlier than 1898. There are a few volumes of the Philippines magazine (here, and here for instance) which point to him being a professional in education in Batanes already in 1904. His name is unusual and he couldn't have been a teacher at 6 years old. A user with more experience with primary Philippine sources should take a look at this.
