Notes about venue opening, don't know if they should be on the page but want them listed somewhere.
editThe Village restaurant (with no music venue) was closed on April 1, 1954.[1]https://www.newspapers.com/article/lancaster-new-era/158371236/ After undergoing construction, The Village Nightclub (capacity 200), and restaurant (75 seated) was scheduled to reopen on Dec 4, 1954.[2]https://www.newspapers.com/article/intelligencer-journal/158370451/ Dates sourced from the Lancaster newspaper published at the time of both events.
In 2013, an article was published stating the nightclub opening date was April 17, 1953. I beleive that may have been the opening date of the restaurant, but the nightclub didn't not open until at least Dec 4 1954 per the newspaper source in 1954.
