Nursing and Bovril

edit

Just reading Philip Ziegler's biog of Lady Diana Cooper at the mom. Apparently Cynthia Asquith used to refer to this Duchess as "the Bovril Duchess". Not sure why. Maybe to do with her role organising nursing in WW1.Paulturtle (talk) 01:10, 11 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Rutland Estate of Bute House

edit

The above reference appears in the Career as artist section, with a link to Bute House, Edinburgh. The cite is Dakers. Is it right? Bute House isn’t really an estate, and I wasn’t aware that it was owned by anyone other than the Butes until it passed to NT Scotland. KJP1 (talk) 21:02, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
