Describing VS TS as supplanting VSS falsely implies that VS TS purpose and scope is source control. VS TS is much, much more than that. Saying that VS TS supplants VSS is like saying that the automobile supplants handheld lamps on evening excursions. 194.228.230.147 13:12, 10 January 2006 (UTC)FPS
This is a carbon-copy of the answer "What is Visual Studio 2005 Team System?" from MicroSoft's own FAQ. I shouldn't comment on the Lantern analogy, but considering the source of the page - I wouldn't want to be stuck behind that car on the information superhighway.
If this is from the FAQ, aren't there copyright issues? In any case, there should be a citation and this should be flagged as a stub.
cleaned up
editHey all, i cleaned up this page and got rid of marketing lingo the best i could. feel free to clean it up further and add more information if necessary. 68.35.201.102 17:31, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Changing to ALM
editTeam System was a brand to group a bunch of tools from Microsoft together. The brand has been changed to ALM so I am suggesting the article be rewritten to reflect that and it is renamed. The article already includes a section briefly touching on the brand change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robert.maclean (talk • contribs) 06:50, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Valid References?
editThere are only two reference links with this article, one doesn´t exist anymore and on the other page there is nothing about the mentioned rebranding ("In Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008 the brand was known as Microsoft Visual Studio Team System (or Team Suite) (VSTS), ..."). Can anyone proof this fact, please? Athae (talk) 09:56, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
