Vladek Spiegelman is an Auschwitz survivor, and that's where I found this link. He is more famous for his son, Art Spiegelman, creater of Maus.

The tone of this phrase makes it sound like it was written by a very insensitive person or an anti-Semite. I don't know how to fix it, so I removed this sentence altogether. Perhaps someone else can rewrite the sentence in a less vulgar way.

That is the approximate phrase used in the book (excepting 'usual') when Art comments to Mala he is worried about his portrayal of him. 24.128.53.252 (talk) 07:16, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Suggestion

Couldn't this entire article be moved to a "plot summary" section on the page for Maus itself, and Vladek's bio page be a redirect? Vladek Spiegelman was a wonderful character in Artie's book Maus and tons of people loved Vladek. It was how he treated Mala that struck people; with the rudeness towards his wife and all. . .DON'T READ THIS NEXT PART IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE SECOND BOOK BECAUSE THERE ARE SPOILERS! In the beginning of the second book, Françoise Mouly's mother gets a call from Vladek, saying he had a heart attack. He DIDN'T have a heart attack; Mala took all the money! It was a shitty thing for Mala to do, knowing what condition Vladek was in. But she must have not had any more patience to take it anymore, which is the only reason she had to leave.
