Ptak appears to be fairly notable, given more than a few articles I spied on MathSciNet which celebrate a birthday of his or commemorate his death. Some of these articles mention his accomplishments, of which there appear to be a number scattered across different fields. I did the best I could on little time, citing some papers that appear to be heavily referenced. But things can definitely be improved as far as contents; since I'm not familiar with these areas, someone more familiar may want to pick other or better selected publications. --C S (Talk)14:42, 24 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
