Talk:Voigt

IPs keep coming adding a couple of red links to this article, Waldemar Voigt (aerospace engineer) and Andreas J. Voigt. I quit removing the first one because I think he might be notable, although I still believe in WP:WTAF. The second one however, has been deleted 3 times (4, but one was an accident), including once via AfD. He gets no Google News hits, few Google hits and none of those seem like WP:RS to me. While I believe both should be removed, I think that there is no way the second one should be included. Thoughts? Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 16:24, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Since there have been no comments here for over 2 weeks, I went ahead and removed both red links, though I am still open to discussion. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 00:39, 10 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well, still no discussion at all, although the IP continues to insert the same non-notable entries. This is really getting old. The IP did add a few actually notable people as well this time though. However the Vogts should go in Vogt (surname) and the Voights should go in Voight. Please note from MOS:DISAMBIG:

  • Keep in mind that the primary purpose of the disambiguation page is to help people find the specific article they want quickly and easily. (The ones being added have no articles and therefore do not help the purpose of the page.)
  • Each entry should have exactly one navigable (blue) link to efficiently guide readers to the most relevant article for that use of the ambiguous term (The ones being added have exactly zero blue links...)

Additionally, reading over some of the comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Andreas J. Voigt coupled with refusal to discuss or explain, I question the good faith of these edits. I also discovered that it has been deleted 6 times and salted twice on the German Wikipedia, so it is not isolated to EnWP. Please IP, come discuss this so we don't have the lock the article down.
