Dester13
editHey everyone. I just want to know in volcanic plateau page I’m trying to put Plateau produced by volcanic activity rather than other formations because instead of volcanic activity they formed others like faulting, rifting, etc. So now we here that why are trying to revert then. Reply to me please. Dester13 (talk) 21:07, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
- I reverted from "A volcanic plateau is a plateau produced by volcanic activity rather than ordinary formations." to "A volcanic plateau is a plateau produced by volcanic activity.". The words that you had added ("rather than ordinary formations") seem to be (1) meaningless (because you have not explained what you want "ordinary formation" to mean) and (2) unnecessary (because the text already describes what produces a volcanic plateau, therefore it is not neceesary to include what does not produce volcanic plateaus). - Okay then. But i mean "A volcanic plateau is a plateau produced by volcanic activity rather than ordinary formations." usually indicates that instead of volcanic activity plateaus are typically form others such as faulting (which is not a volcanism), pieces of earth's crust smashing into each other, etc. So that's why i made this edit so far GeoWriter. Here i know what is a Ordinary Formation. It means an object or something that is formed in a particular standard ways. For examples: Fjords are u-shaped valleys and formed by a glacier. Reply sure? - I concur with GeoWriter. 'ordinary formations' is meaningless and should be omitted. MrOllie (talk) 14:26, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
- Okay MrOllie. Then i rather to put Other Formations because like i say Plateaus are formed in different ways. 1. By faulting process. 2. Caused by plate collisions. 3. Eroding process. Etc. Reply? Dester13 (talk) 16:31, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
- This article is about volcanic plateaus, there is no need to list or refer to other types. Kindly stop edit warring about this. MrOllie (talk) 16:44, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
