Clothing

Has anyone a source there? As a Bavarian: Just because many people (not the majority by far!) turn up in Dirndl and Lederhosn at the Oktoberfest, that does not mean it's generally usual custom in Bavaria. --Tallyho (talk) 15:31, 28 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thats right! It isn't common in Franconia to wear Dirndl and Lederhosn! At Fürther Kärwa, Bergkärwa Erlangen, Nuremberg Frühlings- and Herbstvolksfest, Annafest Forchheim, Bamberg Sandkärwa you won't see many people in (Old)Bavarian Tracht.
Why should they? ManfredV (talk) 13:22, 13 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Fürther Michaelis Kirchweih

What about it? Germany's greatest Kirchweih (Kirmes, Kärwa). About more than 1.5 Million visitors each year, held for 800 - 900 years? ManfredV (talk) 13:16, 13 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
