Contested deletion
editThis page should not be speedily deleted because this individual's characterization in the reason for deletion is not correct.
The first reason (SwisterTwister) this biography was deleted was a lack of Google/Yahoo references that could support Dr. Winter's biography. This is an easy shortcoming to correct. Information about his considerable education and influence within the field of sleep medicine and in particular the realm of sleep medicine and elite performance is plentiful.
The second reason relates to "Insufficient citations at Google Scholar to satisfy WP:ACADEMIC." Dr. Winter's previous page was an incomplete list of his academic contributions which are substantial given the fact that he is currently an independent physician and researcher. A more complete list of his research publications is provided.
Dr. Winter is one of a few physicians who is boarded not only as a neurologist, but double boarded as a sleep medicine specialist. The idea of his influence within sleep medicine being "ONE EVENT" is incorrect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Reflex-hammerCA (talk • contribs) 03:22, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
The sheer amount of information detailing the amount of influence Dr. Winter has within not only the field of sleep and sports, but the field of sleep in general is overwhelming. He is cited several times in Arianna Huffington's now book about sleep, his media presence is too much to add to this article in one night. The reasons for his deletion are not valid. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Reflex-hammerCA (talk • contribs) 04:12, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
