How will you change the page from WNUA to MEGA?
editHow will you change the name of the page from "WNUA" to "MEGA"? AdamDeanHall (talk) 15:31, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
I request that you move the page from WNUA to Mega 95.5 because WNUA became Mega 95.5 about two months ago. Could you please move that page right now? I would really appreciate this a whole lot. This is very important. AdamDeanHall (talk) 20:06, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but as of July 2010, the call letters for 95.5 FM remain WNUA regardless that the station refers to itself as Mega 95.5. Therefore, no move to another page is necessary. The FCC okays call letters, not individual stations' corporate marketing departments -- which means the station can call itself anything it pleases in its marketing campaigns but it's still stuck with the same call letters unless and until the FCC approves new call letters (and "Mega 95.5" does not constitute appropriate call letters within the FCC's naming system). Tough luck, kid.Mrtraska (talk) 00:01, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
Wow. Another screwed up history here. This needs fixing SOON.
The first half of the history section of this article is HOPELESSLY wrong. Whoever wrote this has confused two different but nearby (on the dial) FM stations. Part of the problem here is that the company that operates a radio station assigned a particular frequency IS NOT the same as the station itself, which is tied to that specific frequency. When a station is sold, the frequency goes to the new owner. A sold station DOES NOT CHANGE frequencies. However, an owner might change the station(s) it owns by buying or selling.
As someone who grew up in Chicago listening avidly to both jazz and classical stations, I know for a fact that the 95.5 FM frequency in Chicago was assigned to WSDM before the owners of WNUA bought it. As a long-time jazz fan, I listened to WSDM 95.5 FM, the station with all the girl deejays, for nearly 15 years while I was growing up. Deejay Yvonne Daniels, daughter of jazz artist Billy Daniels, came to WSDM in 1964 and stayed there until 1973, when she went to WLS-AM to become the first female DJ there. In 1987, WSDM changed its call letters to WNUA and became the "smooth jazz" station in Chicago. It was subsequently bought by Clear Channel Communications, which got rid of the smooth jazz last year (2009) and switched to a Latino format, dubbing the new venture Mega 95.5.
Whoever wrote the pages for WLUP-FM (formerly WNIB) and WNUA-FM (formerly WSDM) bungled this completely. I have to wonder if this person even lives or lived in Chicago and ever listened to either station during the 1980s and 1990s, it's that badly botched. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrtraska (talk • contribs) 04:37, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

WNUA → WEBG – The call letters on Big 95.5 are changing from WNUA to WEBG. AdamDeanHall (talk) 00:16, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
- Station's callsign is still WNUA. Page move should only take place after the callsign switch, not before. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 09:58, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
