History

Where's some history for this station? Little Jimmy Roach, etc, etc. As I recall in early 1981 LJR switched to a morning show with a guy named Steve that was Howard Sternesque before Howard Stern, which should be WDVE's claim to fame. JimmyTheSaint 02:05, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I thought that the bit about the Nickelodeon is cool. Is thre any particular reason?

And let us not forget the wonderful Marcie Posner, one of the pioneering female radio DJ's.
She had a wonderfully sultry voice which men all over the greater Pgh area loved. There was
constant speculation about what she looked like. FritzB43 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.19.69.196 (talk) 01:28, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Marcie was a student teacher of mine in the early 70’s and her mother was our school nurse. I kept in touch with her for a while in Pittsburgh. I had a dream about her mother last night and her. I’m wondering where she is now. Reach me on Instagram BRDempsey 2601:240:DA80:43A0:809F:8F7B:9F42:EDF1 (talk) 15:08, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Wdve copy.jpg

edit

Image:Wdve copy.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
