This should either be a disambiguation page to seperate articles on the radio and television stations (for example see: WNBC), or greatly expanded to more thoroughly cover the radio and television stations (for example see: WCCO). As it is, the article seems to be in limbo between a disambig and a stub. SwissCelt 16:58, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I decided to clean up the article with the idea that it was not meant to be a disambiguation page (I used KQED as an example). However, I am still keeping the cleanup notation up. Pentawing 00:23, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I added info on the fictional WHIZ radio (where Capt. Marvel the superhero's alter ego works). Though do wonder if this *should* be a disambiguation page, given there's one fictional station, two radio stations, and one television station all with the same call letters... even if (I assume) the real stations are owned by the same company/are all located in southeastern Ohio. If they were split up, I suppose "WHIZ-FM", "WHIZ-AM", "WHIZ-TV" (with digital TV info listed under this one, as DTV stations are just a subsidiary/different version of the same analog station), and finally whatever to call the fictional version ("WHIZ (comics)" I guess?), would suffice, especially if one plans on adding detailed information (station history, important dates, etc.) about any of these stations. Since you brought up the station from the Captain Marvel comics, the article could be set to disambiguation. My concern is that the amount of information currently in place is too much for such a disambig. article. Only when someone moves the information to separate articles can this article be changed to disambig. Pentawing 05:31, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Done. However, the resulting articles barely qualify even as stubs. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge of the stations (real and fictional) can expand on these before the VfD cops come out. -- SwissCelt18:12, 13 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
