editHas anyone else noticed how much this station messes up? Every time I try to watch, something's wrong. The other day, the same commercial (a crappy looking one at that) kept playing over and over again. I'd think a FOX affiliate would be on top of it. Is there really a FOX 16 in Jackson or is it just a computer somewhere running the thing with no one watching the output? Good thing I can receive FOX programming from other stations because FOX 16 is reliable.
It does mess up quite a bit. Unfortunately for me, I only receive one FOX affiliate where I live. I believe it is just ran by a computer with no one watching output.
nobody works there except for some bumblers who do commercials and a guy who shoots a news story once every two months or so. otherwise most of it is controlled in memphis. they used to pay so little attention that the anchors on the news would still be up on the screen in jackson where commercials were supposed to be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.202.148.2 (talk) 00:48, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
I live so far in the country that my only option for local television is through antenna and rabbit ears. I have purchased the digital converter boxes for my analog t.v.'s. I can pick up WBBJ very well but I am having trouble finding the FX channel. I can still pick it up with my digital box turned off but I am worried that I will not be able to pick it up after the conversion next year. What is the actual number on the converter box for the channel? The WBBJ is 7.1. I think it is the station number + a <.> something. I could use some help here if anyone knows.--Msladie (talk) 23:11, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, Pam
FOX 16 has some of the crappiest commercials. I saw one at christmas for an afro american clothes store and it looked like the person cut out a picture in a magazine and put it in there. the pictures was all out of like and had powerpoint presentation letters. another had some cars with big rims with girls having short skirtts with their legs open. It had no real purpose or anything. If I was a business, I would not pay for that garbage let alone put it on tv and expect people to buy their stuff.
I like the FOX programming, and only turn on the tv at night to watch house. but the commercials for businesses are stale. Wish they hired professionals to do the commercial or just let wbbj film the commercials.

Does anyone remember how great this station was supposed to be several years ago when it spun away from its sister stations in Memphis? I remember reading Jackson Sun articles where the station folks went on about how they were going to do this and that. Uh, so what happened? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Northwest tennessee (talk • contribs) 01:26, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
What a change! I agree with you Desi that I used to see those crappy commercials. Now, some of their stuff looks really good! Did they finally get a good camera man? I saw one about a black funeral home that looked really good, and a fitness gym that was very well done. Its about time FOX 16! Now give us news and compete with Channel 7's poopy news! Way to go!

I was driving down Highland and I saw a blonde and a guy with a camera shooting in front of a business. I talked to him for a minute and he said that he did indeed work for FOX 16 and he was on his first day! He did confirm he worked for FOX 16 and he was just promoted to do the commercials. By the way, channel 7 does suck with their amateur reporters out of high school. The sports guy need a cough drop he coughs too much reggie hock loogie maybe? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.176.98.35 (talk) 20:12, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
