I'm interested to know the source for the claim that the WJSV broadcast day recordings were placed in the public domain, as our article currently asserts. This would have required an explicit assignment not only from WJSV and CBS, but from the owners of transcribed material (transcription services, ad agencies, or sponsors) and from the actors and musicians on both network and local programs. Websites including Internet Archive often claim PD status for sound recordings that are still protected in the US by state and local laws, so in my view some skepticism is warranted. Thanks for any info, & good work on the article. ReverendWayne (talk) 13:47, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
