Rationale for deletion of disambiguation page
editPer the WP:Disambig page, "If only a primary topic and one other topic require disambiguation, then disambiguation links are sufficient, and a disambiguation page is unnecessary." Since the radio station call letters are the primary identification and the acronym for a mixed martial arts organization is a secondary identification, a hat note is sufficient and requires no more steps than would a disambiguation page for people seeking the King of the Cage. - Dravecky (talk) 00:30, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- Just a datapoint, there are far more readers of King of the Cage than of KOTC (AM). Stats from http://stats.grok.se/en/:
Month King of the Cage KOTC (AM) 2007-12 3381 70 2008-01 4179 120 2008-02 4144 122 2008-03 3823 97 2008-04 3835 139 2008-05 4340 130 2008-06 5053 111 2008-07 1596 41 2008-08 3755 14 2008-09
(as of 2008-09-08)765 91
- It does not look like KOTC (AM) is clearly the primary page. TJRC (talk) 01:38, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- It's not about popularity, just that the primary identification for "King of the Cage" is "King of the Cage" and the KOTC acronym is a secondary identifier for that article. This is not to diminish King of the Cage in any way, just to eliminate unneeded separate disambiguation pages as per the standards of WP:Disambig. - Dravecky (talk) 03:06, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
