PSP to PS2 Connectivity
editI have seen this info on a IGN interview...
"IGN: Will those creation modes work in conjunction with the PS2 version of the game? Through cross-compatibility perhaps? Like maybe you could create a guy in one game and carry him over into the other version?
Cory Ledesma: That's exactly right. That's exactly the case. The PS2 connectivity will allow you to do that as well as updating unlockables and stats in both games. Various profile connection features will be in there, you see, so everything you're working on with your PSP version can be easily uploaded onto your PS2 and continued there and vice-versa."

Connectivity to the PlayStation 2? Are you sure this game from the PSP will connect to it? • Thorpe • 18:30, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
- It is now. -- Thorpe talk 11:12, 16 October 2005 (UTC)
Protected
editI protected this page, due to the heavy vandalism. If there's still vandalism on this version, please mention it here. --Phroziac (talk) 18:34, September 8, 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the protection, I really appreciate it. The page looked like this before the mass vandalism although I wouldn't mind if you keep the arenas section, as it looks useful. Thanks again. --Oakster 18:53, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
- Protection is not meant to endorse one version over another, but I added the PlayStation Portable section back in, as it looked like the removal was vandalism. While not really applicable for vandalism protection, if you're bored because you can't edit this page, go read m:The Wrong Version. --Phroziac (talk) 19:10, September 8, 2005 (UTC)
- Alright. That was a pretty funny article by the way, thanks. --Oakster 19:24, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

Clean-Up, Please?
editGuys, there needs to be a couple of things cleaned up, or edited to match what makes sense. This is listed in the order it appear in the article.
- Change J.B. Layfield to John "Bradshaw" Layfield
- Change Khosrow Daivari to simply Daivari
- Remove Kid Kash from the roster, as that is unconfirmed.
- Removed Katie Vick, Brock Lesnar and Ministry Undertaker from the Legends as they won't appear.
Hope I could help! -- Chad1m 01:31, September 9, 2005 (UTC)
- I know absolutely nothing about this subject, so I have absolutely no idea what should be there. Do you have references for these changes? And, who else would support this? --Phroziac (talk) 02:18, September 9, 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with the Chad1m's name removals as that was pure vandalism. although I think J.B. Layfield and Khosrow Daivari should stay as it is due to that being the names listed as that on IGN's SDvsRAW 2006 section and it was written as J.B. Layfield on the previous game. Also, the first four screenshots on the PS2 section have been swapped with the PSP screenshots section (you can tell by the PSP images being named PSP).--Oakster 15:32, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
I just removed this comment - "WWE Smackdown! vs. RAW 2006 is also currently the fastest selling PSP game." - which is incorrect and completely unfounded.
- OK Chad1m may have a few there but not all, yes Kid Kash isnt in the game, and those legends are not in there either, but as for J.B Layfield and Khosrow Davari they are what is listed so thats whats happening, this game may not be exactly as u want it to be chad1m but none the less its the way it is. --Metal to the Max! 20:51, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
No more images
editPlease, no more images as I think the article has enough now. People using dial-up won't be happy otherwise. Thanks. Thorpe talk 17:16, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
Rating
editBecause of the Firfill Your Fantasy feature, This game should be rated Mature (M)
- Well, it isn't going to be. -- Thorpe talk 10:21, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
- oh boo hoo, "it should be rated (M), mummy". who cares, there not going to recall the game just to make ur opinion heard. and plus, its not a damn movie, its a game, their not real people! if you were complaining about the divas titontron movies i would kind of understand, but i would still be calling u a sook. --Metal to the Max! 20:54, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Removed
editI have removed the screenshots due to the one per article rule. You can find them below. -- Thorpe talk 16:48, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- umm ok, but whats the point of putting them here... are we gonna choose one to put back in the article and if so i think we should be allowed to place one from the PSP version and another from PS2 as they are on differeent formats and need to be used in reference to the difference in graphics btween to the two versions ---- Paulley 18:23, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, that was what I was thinking - one from the PS2 version and one from the PSP version. You can put one from each one in yourself and if anyone objects they can discuss it here. The screenshots will be kept on the discussion page until further notice and if we don't need them they can be deleted. -- Thorpe talk 22:26, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- Its been done you can remove these pics if you wish--- Paulley 11:38, 28 September 2005 (UTC)

Seems like the article is on Google's search results for when you type in the title. Not bad [2]. -- Thorpe talk 10:21, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
- Way to jinks it! It doesn't show up anymore :P - NickSentowski 19:16, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- To be honest, it hasn't shown up in the top listings since its release. Either way, 2007's ranking is pretty high up these days. --Oakster (Talk) 19:59, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Image Removal
editI'm sorry, I thought something was going on with the images and I removed them. Please revert.
- No big deal. Sometimes the image servers aren't working right. If you want to revert a page, you can click on the "history" tab, click on the date and time of the revision you want to revert to, then click on "Edit this page" and save the page. Also, you can sign your user name by typing ~~~~. Happy editing! --Jtalledo (talk) 01:59, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
Non-playables
editIs there really such need to list that the pool player, barmaid, backstage guy etc in Non-playables? It's obivous in the game that they are not famous or playable characters. --Thorpe | talk 19:25, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
I think it is because they can become playable if you use a cheat device like Gameshark or code Breaker. I think that adds a sort relevance for them being listed. - Vetes
- I think it warrants a mention, but not a list. I'm make some edits. --Jtalledo (talk) 15:30, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
more wrestlstlers not alowed in season mode.
editI know Paul London can not be used during season mode. There are a few others also. so ADD them to the list also. you are going to make people think you can play as them.
glad to see some one listens(not). i have already heard people complain about this.
I added a note about this to the article awhile ago. If you know other characters, put the 1 by their name like London's. Tigermave 20:06, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
ECW One Night Stand Arena.
editIt says on the page that the ONS arena in the game is actually the ECW Arena. The ECW Arenadoes not look like that arena at all. There's no second deck in the ECW Arena except for a few skyboxes.
- It's probably the Hammerstein Ballroom, where One Night has been held. --Jtalledo (talk) 12:30, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- I know that this is not the place to ask, but how do you unlock the ECW PPV? -- NickSentowski 19:53, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- You have to complete the "Rising Star" challenges. It's an easy task if you have a second controller... ;) --Jtalledo (talk) 23:04, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Eugene's Voiceover
editHe is currently listed as 1, since he does not have the correct voiceovers for story mode, however, it is not true to list him as having NO voice over recordings, as he did record some lines as he is a crucial character in the raw storyline.
This may be true of some other characters as well, but I'm only sure this is true of Eugene, should that warrent adding a third catagory?
GA on hold
editProblems with the images (section 6a of WP:GAC)
- Image:Sd-raw-06-cvr.JPG - no FU rationale
- Image:WWE_SmackDown_vs_RAW_2006_(8).jpg - no source of FU rationale
- Image:WWE_SmackDown_vs_RAW_2006_PSP_(4).jpg - no FU rationale
- Image:WWE SmackDown! vs RAW 2006 (PSP).jpg - no FU rationale
Additionally with the PS2 and PSP covers, as they are very similar, "the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole" part of the FU guidelines might mean you can only use one. GA is on hold for 7 days. If these problems are not fixed within 7 days the article may be failed. Alexj2002 17:41, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

GA passed
editThe article is well-sourced and well-written, which is very much the exception for most videogame and WWE articles. I hate all things wrestling, so I looked at it with a very critical eye, but I have to admit that this is nicely done. No fanboy stuff, no how-to guide stuff. Just a solid article. Good job! Kafziel 20:34, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thankyou very much, I (as will the other editors that also contributed well to the article) really appreciate it. --Oakster (Talk) 21:02, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
BBFC Error
editI noted the update I added about the bonus DVD error in the UK needs citation. I should mention that I do not have online proof, but I do have the exclusive mentioned in the article and that statement is true. If you look at the certificate code on the bonus DVD, it says 'VFB10240' which happens to be the code below the certificate on the game disc (which was never rated by the BBFC, so it wouldn't have this code). This version of the labelling was only supposed to be on the exclusive versions, but it ended up in regular copies too (my friend's version, which came without the disc, also had the BBFC logo on). 15:00, Saturday October 28th, 2006. User_talk:82.69.9.61.
- I know this might not be possible, but is there any chance you can upload some photographic proof as an alternative to online proof? I really don't want to remove it (hence, I added the tag rather than removed it) but it does need a source of some kind. --Oakster (Talk) 21:22, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'll see what I can do. It may take a few days, though. 14:05 (GMT), October 29th, 2006. User_talk:82.69.9.61.
- Thanks very much. --Oakster (Talk) 16:40, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Ted Dibiase
editI don't know if anyone knows the answer to this, but if I wanted to unlock Ted "The Million Dollar Man" Dibiase via Codebreaker, would I also be able to unlock the Superstar Challenge Mode and/or the legend Challenge Mode? Mr. Brain (talk) 14:01, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

a mistake on Christian's tights in the game
editthe tights that Christian uses in this game was suposed to be the same that he used in WWE Smack Down here comes the pain but he dosnt have the signature design on the sides
i think it is a mistake done by the develoment team becaus he never had ring gear with that design.--Robin Halvorsen (talk) 14:00, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Furfill Your Fantasy
editHow do I unlock that mode cause it is the only main event I havent unlocked yet. Also wich fight do I choose on the shedule so I can change my Women's Championship and unlock Christy's outfits? Left4Deadseries FAN (talk) 19:56, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Roster Chart
editI recently added a roster chart, and will be updating from time to time. I will also be adding roster charts for previous and succeeding SmackDown vs. Raw games. MrRe1yt (talk) 19:20, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
