Julaiden's contribution to the dawn days of al Qaeda is often overlooked. One book highlights his prominent role in the evolution of al Qaeda. Written by an early Bin Ladin associate, Adel Batterjee, (under the pseudonym "Basil Muhammad"), Al Ansar al Arab fi Afghanistan (The Arab volunteers in Afghanistan). It was published by the Benevolence International Foundation (BIF) in 1991, and also with World Association of Muslim Youth (WAMY).
