Why Start with So Much Random Nonsense?
editIf you're writing an entry for the song "Waiting for a Girl Like You," and you want to include chart information, why include so much random crap about other songs and artists? The entry has the following superfluous information: "It was held off the #1 spot by Olivia Newton-John's single "Physical" for the first nine of those weeks, and by Hall & Oates' "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)" for the remaining week.[3] (In 2002, Missy Elliott matched Foreigner's runner-up accomplishment when her "Work It" single also spent ten weeks at #2 without reaching #1)." Anyone know the synth used?
editJust out of curiosity, does anyone know what synthesizer thay used in this song? It sounds "typical" 80s. The same type of synth sound from other songs such as "Paradise" from Footloose. It is a DX7 or something else? Madmaxmarchhare 05:26, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
DX-7's weren't introduced until 1983, so it's definitely not that. Possibly an Oberheim, maybe a Prophet - there's nothing ultra-distinctive enough about it to pick out for sure.
