Wal L. Handley → Wal Handley – As per WP:COMMONNAME, he was known most often as Wal Handley. The middle initial is unnecessary. The only instances of the middle initial are in official results or websites that have copied the existing Wikipedia page. Readro (talk) 09:15, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Support per nom; Brits are seldom referred to by names with middle initials. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 06:37, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
- Support per WP:UCN. I get 1 gbooks hit for "Wal L. Handley" compared to 131 for "Wal Handley". Jenks24 (talk) 05:22, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

The Wal Handley pages needed additional input as it seems his race record can cause him to be misunderstood or underestimated. My work is based on contemporary sources and do not express any personal opinions. I've tried my best to help by inserting a brief 9 para factual biography while retaining most of the good work already done with slight editing and corrections where necessary of 1.1 to 1.3 2.1 and 3-4. and a few extra sources. The insertion of a factual biography followed by sections giving extra detail is the idea and I hope we can agree it works. Johnhandley9 (talk) 16:27, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
