The family's most well-known member is the diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, known for saving up to 100,000 Jews from the Holocaust.
editAre we supposed to believe that because it says so in the Wiki? Never heard of this guy and I live in Finland where education is supposed to be good. Add some proper references or take it out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.115.122.176 (talk) 10:18, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- If you read Swedish there is a prototype article (not very well written) about Raoul in Swedish here [1]. Lidingo SWE (talk) 21:32, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Bronze Wolf
editWhich of these, if any, is the Dr. Marcus Wallenberg of Svenska Scoutrådet, who was awarded the Bronze Wolf, the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting in 1982? I think it was the Marcus who died in 1982
Wallenberg Sphere
editDoes anyone know enough to write an article bringing together the various Wallenberg-controlled companies, and their rôle in Sweden's economic and political life? DuncanHill 22:34, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Famous Counter-Strike player?
editDoes anyone know if the famous Swedish counter-strike-player Dennis Wallenberg (Walle in-game) is a member of this family. He is currently playing in the largest and maybe most prestigious gaming organization in the world (SK Gaming), and as such, I think he is worth mentioning in this article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Emilsj (talk • contribs) 02:43, 6 January 2007 (UTC).

Gustaf Wallenberg
editThis article, and the Gustaf Wallenberg dab page, say 1863-1937.
However File:Slakttrad Wallenberg.jpg says 1863-1947.
Which is correct? 58.8.14.77 (talk) 04:00, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Raoul Oscar Wallenberg
editThis article says 1888-1911.
However Raoul Wallenberg#Early life and File:Slakttrad Wallenberg.jpg both say 1888-1912.

- Raoul Oscar Wallenberg, the father of Raoul Wallenberg, died in cancer 10 May 1912. 4 August 1912, Raoul Wallenberg was born. Raouls mother then married Fredrik von Dardel in 1918. Lidingo SWE (talk) 09:52, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Are the Wallenbergs Jewish? Or were they originally (their ancestors) Jewish?
editAre the Wallenbergs Jewish? Or were they originally (their ancestors) Jewish? I see the names "Jakob", "Marcus", "Marc" etc, plus they are bankers, so I wondered. The article doesn't say anything about their religion, which is strange for a bio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.105.69.197 (talk) 09:27, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- The Economist says that the Wallenbergs are Lutheran: "André Oscar Wallenberg, son of a Lutheran bishop... founded Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB). The bank flourished, and began buying chunks of distressed industrial firms, leading the family to set up a holding company, Investor, 100 years ago."--FeralOink (talk) 16:17, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
