This editor continues to delete this highly important issue of the moment. What is he going to do next - delete the George Floyd page for asserted recentism? Of course the George Floyd killing is recent. But it is absurd to argue that this must be deleted for recentism - for the same reason that we would not delete the George Floyd killing page. Why do you think people are of late coming to read this page? Really ridiculous.
And deleting that the politician is Republican? That's also absurd. Pure vandalism.
My response to the IP's message on my talk page can be found here. I will state again that the reference to the "highly important issue of the moment" is a clear example of why the "he said something about a news story" content is WP:RECENTISM. Be careful about accusations of "vandalism" and "disruptive/bad edits" (diff). Remember to be WP:CIVIL, even if you encounter something or someone you disagree with. Aside from the issues of WP:RECENTISM, it appears that the IP would rather shirk common sense in favor of itching for an argument. KidAd (talk) 06:30, 11 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
It says he’s a “democratic member of the New Mexico senate.” My advice to you is to power down your computer/phone and stop. KidAd (talk) 08:26, 11 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
I'm not understanding the reluctance to add this information. There's significant coverage in reliable sources. The fact there's a current event happening doesn't make every news report about it recentism. —valereee (talk) 12:35, 12 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
