Picture
editIs there any way to get a picture of Myers on the page?I*S*T 21:10, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
No changes made, just suggesting someone update for consistency. Article contains date of death, but states he is still serving on a board; still flagged as living. 98.77.168.63 (talk) 18:56, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
Bibliography
editI deleted "The Baddest Dog in Harlem" because it is one of the short stories appearing in 145th Street. None of the other short stories are listed on their own, and it did not have a publication date. Pvirgiliusmaro (talk) 21:05, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
I have been adding more works to Walter Dean Myers bibliography, but should it be split out into its own article? Scatter89 (talk) 04:28, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

New infobox image
editCan we use a new infobox image? The current one is blurry and rectangular instead of a portrait. Here’s my proposal. It’s more recent, it shows him at a library, and it’s clearer, more portrait like, and an overall better image. Thoughts? The Image Editor (talk) 18:23, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
I think this is a great image to use, high resolution is always better. @The Image Editor: Message text. Peacekeepurwar (talk) 02:30, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- suggest caution to use this, as there may be copyright issues? although the image states that the author is the Kalamazoo Public Library, and under Licensing that "This image was taken from Flickr's The Commons. The uploading organization may have various reasons for determining that no known copyright restrictions exist,", under Metadata the author is John A. Lacko, and the copyright holder is John Lacko Photography www.lackophoto.com, so wouldn't they need to release it into the public domain before wikipedia can use it? you might need to ask if it is okay to use it at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
