Recent electoral history section
editI see the section on Recent electoral history has been taken out (reverted, then taken out again). After reverting, really, the discussion should take place on the talk page here per WP:BRD. I wanted to comment about it some. The section originally said just Electoral history and had the 2008 election in a table. I updated it to an election box template and renamed the section Recent electoral history. This is in line with many other articles I have come across. In this instance, I am not sure whether it should be included or not. Jerzeykydd implies, in his taking the section out, that it needs to include all of Dalton's elections or none at all. Fair enough (I suppose the user is referring to WP:RECENT). I'm not sure which is better: to include it or not. This may be a discussion for the WikiProjects for Elections and Referendums, Politics or BIO/Politics and government, since it would affect a lot of politician articles out there. Especially with those who have been in office a long time, listing all would overwhelm the page, although they could be forked out into a sub-page or another article that shows their full electoral history. If that is done, usually, only the most recent is kept in the main article anyway. Don't know. Need to think about this some more. This may be moot for Dalton as I edited the article to include a link to the main article about the election of 2008 under the Lt. Gov. section (there was a link in the lead already, but really thought it belonged lower instead). Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 01:24, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
