editIt is curious that the German Wikipedia entry for Ruttmann conflicts with the information here. Particularly in relation to his work during Nazi Germany.
And, seriously -- no mention of Metropolis? How lame and pointless could this article be?

Ruttmann assistant on "Triumph of the Will" citation
editI think we need a citation for the statement that Ruttmann was an assistant to Riefenstahl on "Triumph of the Will." That's a big statement, too big to be unsourced. On the page for the film, it is stated that he (Ruttmann) was originally going to direct the film, but Hitler didn't like his version of it, and convinced Riefenstahl to direct (also not cited on that page, it appears). In any case, this statement should probably either be backed up or removed.
