Invalid reference
editThe first "reference" in the article is not a reference at all, it's an unsourced comment claiming that the use of a colon in the title is incorrect. I'm suggesting this "reference" be removed until such time as the claim can be sourced, at which point it should be added to the body of the article and not as a footnote. 12.233.146.130 (talk) 18:24, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Tarantino
editIsn't it worth noting that in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood", the fictional TV series 'Bounty Law' is largely based on Dead or Alive? Jas0n Scoot (talk) 08:19, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
Inconsistency
editIf he is a Confederate veteran, and he is Steve McQueen's age, then how does he have a gun from the 1890s? Are all of those definite confirmed facts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.44.112.170 (talk) 00:32, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Details given in several episodes depict Randall as a CSA veteran and date the events of the series from the late 1870s to the early 1880s. I've yet to see an explanation as to why the prop designer chose a Model 1892 Winchester as the base for the Mare's Leg when a Model 1973 would have been more correct for the period. Other shows tended to play fast and loose with period details; I remember an episode of The High Chaparral, set during the same time period, in which a shiny new gun resembling a Henry or a full-length rifle caliber Winchester was claimed to be a "spanking new" Spencer rifle, which bears no resemblance to either of the guns I named and which was produced in the 1860s. 2603:9001:4500:1C09:D2A:CD0A:1659:E354 (talk) 12:34, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
