The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

An anon contributed Spain declares war on Portugal about the same war. Google doesn't find any copies of that article on the net. Thue | talk 23:19, 22 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Where is the information about the south american front? Portugal conquest many territories in this war to Spain. See the spanish version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.214.94.101 (talk) 09:49, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's not clear why the war is named as such in the article. I've hear ostensibly folk historical explanations about a French officer poaching oranges from Portuguese territory. 125.236.146.83 (talk) 07:15, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
