Appropriate page architecture

So it seems that in practice, 99% of links about the wards of DC link to List of neighborhoods of the District of Columbia by ward, even though it seems that this page itself would make more sense based solely on title. I know there has also been some talk in the past of incorporating more statistics about the different wards (see Demographics of Washington, D.C.). But as it stands right now, this page is obviously in no shape to serve anything close to that purpose. In the long run, I think the best way to solve this is simply getting this page up to standards. In the meantime though, what should we do? Redirect to the list of neighborhoods by ward? Keep the page as-is? Merge the two pages to create one article that both describes the wards with some detail and lists neighborhoods? Also, the original author of the article (who has since been absent for over a year) seemed to intend to have a distinct article on each ward, which were all speedily deleted for copyright infringement. Is this the long term direction we want to go? Or should each ward simply be summarized here? MarginalCost (talk) 20:16, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

This page is useless. I have redirected to List of neighborhoods of the District of Columbia by ward. It's also worth remembering the ward boundaries are rather artificial boundaries and change with the Census (just like Congressional districts). Best, epicAdam(talk) 21:14, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
