Mercury?

edit

Is there a citation for the cartridge tilt sensor containing mercury? It's supposed to use a solid-state piezo sensor and I'm having trouble finding piezo sensors which contain any mercury. In fact, I'm having trouble finding any official statement explaining the launch delay.--Unsigned

I'm removing this until I see a citation. I cannot understand why any piezoelectric gyro would contain mercury, and until then I can only assume that the "popular opinion" is only due to a misguided concept of how these things work (perhaps suggested by a mercury thermostat). It's not something that we should repeat without evidence as mercury is rather dangerous. 63.241.207.195 20:45, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's completely unlikely anyway as producing the cart would involve manoeuvring around laws and such that prevent children from having access to such things. --Thaddius 18:29, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yoshi's Univesal Gravitation was released in Europe without any problem, and it features the same piezoelectric gyro of Wario Ware Twisted. --217.203.239.128 (talk) 20:08, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
The claim has been added back, with no citation. Fixing. 216.59.225.251 (talk) 21:40, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Special Appearances

edit

There is an appearance of the magical music box he is trapped in during Wario Land 3. It appears in the training level at Wario's house. It's first seen while the mouse is walking through the inside of Wario's house (after passing the motorcycle). It is seen on top of a cupboard with Wario's laptop (the room also features the clock in the Speed Spin levels).

There is also a special appearance of a picture from (what I think is) Wario Land 4 in the room mentioned above. It is hanging on the right of the screen, and has part of a pyramid in it.

There may also be Wario's radio from the original game, but I'm not sure.

Fair use rationale for Image:WarioWare Twisted!.jpg

edit

Image:WarioWare Twisted!.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

State of European release

edit

If it was never released in Europe, why is there a European box? Unless is was a pre-released image, and not an actual box. In that case, suggestions of European release should be removed since seriously...the GBA is dead.—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 16:52, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

You're mixing things up. The game was never released in Europe, and there's no European box; it's a PAL box from Australia. The Australian release date seems to be missing in the article, but it was definitely released over there according to Mobygames and various sites. Kariteh 16:56, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
OMG, there's a PEGI icon, it's really an European box... Weird. I guess it should be replaced with the NA or AUS box art then. Kariteh 17:05, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
The game was all lined up to be released on two occasions. Press releases and boxart went out to the press and retail, but the game never actually reached the shelves. That's probably where the image came from. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.195.68.169 (talk) 18:31, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do you really think Nintendo will release a GBA game in 2008?

edit

I noticed on the page it says that Wario Ware Twisted is still under developement for Europe, but will Nintendo really bother as it is already 2008? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anthall1991 (talkcontribs) 18:10, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is ridiculously unlikely now I agree, but Nintendo's official line (as stated in the article) remains that it is undergoing testing for release in Europe. U-Mos (talk) 14:02, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks, As it is already May 2008, It is nearly certain not to get a European release so I removed all the refrences in the article about it awaiting release in Europe. Anthall1991 (talk) 15:46, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Someone has added the "TBD" for Europe again. It's right that NoE's site states that Twisted!'s EU release is "TBD". But the entry for Twisted! on NoE's site exists since ages and has not just been added as the article implies, and the "TBD" is there since ages as well. The upcoming DSi will even not have a GBA slot anymore. I would be very happy if this game came to Europe, but I highly doubt it. I don't think it's necessary to say in the article that a reputed European release is still possible, it's just too unlikely. --Grandy02 (talk) 22:23, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

microgame relation

edit

"Three Microgames from WarioWare: Twisted! appear during 9-Volt's stage in WarioWare: Smooth Moves using the "Chauffeur" form"

Why is this noteworthy? There are a number of the same or similar microgames featured in multiple WarioWare games. Zixor (talk) 01:28, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

European consolation

edit

"However European Gamers Can Experance Twisted In WarioWare Smooth Moves For Wii As A Mirco Game."

I don't know what is a "Mirco Game" (maybe a microgame?), or "experance", but the phrase added to the article, that I have already removed, is false, because the whole videogame was never included into Smooth Moves. It's common in the Wario Ware series that some minigames from a title are remade or included in another title. Actually, the only way for an european to play Wario Ware Twisted is to import it from the USA and pay a lot of money. Thank you, Nintendo of Europe. --217.203.239.128 (talk) 20:06, 20 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yoshi's Universal Gravitation

edit

This game was actually released in Europe and contained the tilting sensor featured in Wario Ware. --217.203.239.128 (talk) 01:13, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
