Warwickshire Club and Ground
editDoes anyone know whether "Warwickshire Club and Ground" (mentioned in the article Parsee cricket team in England in 1886) is the same as Warwickshire County Cricket Club? Thanks. --Jameboy 16:06, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Warwickshirecricket.jpg
editImage:Warwickshirecricket.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Birmingham isn't in Warwickshire (anymore?)
editBirmingham is not in the modern-day county of Warwickshire. A short section explaining why Warwickshire CCC play most of their games in Birmingham would be appreciated. For example, was Birmingham ever in Warwickshire, or has it simply been adopted as the home ground due to the city's large size? Andrew Oakley (talk) 11:04, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Birmingham was historically in Warwickshire. In 1974 the county boundaries were redrawn when the West Midlands county was created. --Jameboy (talk) 21:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
History, and T20 History
editI think the T20 section needs to be merged together into paragraphs, as a year by year summary doesn't work when 2008-13 are missing. The focus on this also seems to be Recentism. Alternatively, the important parts of this section (e.g. the renaming to Birmingham Bears) should be added to the overall history section above, at the relevant places, as neither first class nor one day have their own sections. I will try to do this myself, though, if I get time and no one else has. 97rob (talk) 19:49, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- Shouldn't the whole "Birmingham Bears" section be merged into the T20 History section as well? 2A00:23C6:AA85:4201:D479:EA99:61C5:CC83 (talk) 17:29, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
