Canary Islands
edit"WAWA, name given to 'help people ' in the Canary Islands" What does this mean? Does that mean that wawa is the Canary word for bus or it's a brand or something else? Avraham (talk) 04:28, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Use of CJ word in English
editI haven't added this to the page yet, not sure how to word it; the Chinook Jargon word, as adapted into English in the region, could mean a conversation, parley or meeting. I've commented on this on the wikitionary page: For an example, though from 1859 and with the archaic spelling "waw waw", see British Columbia History Quarterly from 1957, p. 159 at the top. Wawa Lake
editI didn't add it myself because you would probably call it Wawa Lake, not simply "Wawa". Art LaPella (talk) 04:36, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
