'One of the Top 100 Guitarists' - Too Ambiguous
editNot that I hate ambiguity, or anything, but this is Wikipedia. It helps to be less vague with information. The part I'm talking about is - and I quote - 'Rolling Stone recognizes Kramer as one of the top 100 guitarists of all time'. Which one of the top 100? Why so vague? --Lordnecronus (talk) 20:14, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- Can't answer for them, but there are now articles in the Wikipedia that address the various "Greatest" lists published by Rolling Stone within the past decade. Problem is, whether it's the best guitarist, songwriter, reader's poll, whatever, there are far too many hacks as Derek Trucks pointed out. He attempted to have his name removed from the guitarist list and put others in there he felt were more deserving, but a little too late. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 17:44, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Sun Ra Arkestra
editAnyone know enough about his time with the Sun Ra Arkestra to say anything about it?JOSHUAGLOSTER (talk) 18:15, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
Nice Work, WK & Cohorts!!
editThis a reasonably understated POV/PR piece, presumably by a fan or associate of WK. Trying to push back against this stuff @ Wikipedia is like pushing the tide back with a broom! Tapered (talk) 18:25, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Rumors of death
edit2/2/2024: seeing some rumors online of Wayne Kramer having passed away. Just thought you should be alerted 94.252.122.125 (talk) 21:15, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
- Sadly not a rumor, being posted in major media such as Rolling Stone. Was reported prior to that on the artist's official instagram. 2600:1700:A412:1C0:A96B:BABB:D056:6931 (talk) 22:26, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
Wayne Kramer
editOne of Kramer’s final performances was on September 29, 2023 during “Prison Palooza” an outdoor concert at California Medical Facility (a State Prison in Vacaville, CA) where he teamed up with Jello Biafra and the CMF prison band. 2600:1700:8280:1CB0:CC96:EF0C:C40E:6547 (talk) 07:12, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
