Proposal to migrate to "Weather routing"
editHello everyone,
I would like to propose that we migrate the existing content to a page called "Weather routing"
Rationale: The current page title "sailing weather prediction is redundant and misleading. In the maritime sphere, this is normally referred to as "weather routing". Thus the contents of this page primarily are about weather routing for commercial ships.
Sailing weather prediction is a rarely used term, and only used occasionally for long distance sailing boat races. Weather routing on the other hand is the commonly used term to describe the process of tracking weather and routing ships for the best possible route between ports. This is further evidenced in all the references that have been used in this page and related books, including the Mariners handbook published by the UK Hydrographic office.Notthebestusername (talk) 02:30, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
