editA photo is on my "things to do" list, when I next get to that area in good weather.
Someone sometime could write something on [Wooton] (Wooton Hall, Wooton Lodge) which for now I shall link to [Ellastone] so that it goes somewhere. Robert of Ramsor (talk) 14:17, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi Robert, a wikilink that goes to the wrong article isn't helpful. Noted your request and I will try and contribute something Wootton and Wootton Lodge-related.CecilWard (talk) 14:15, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Should Wardlow Quarry be permanently closed for quarrying, it is of a suitable size for constructing a Midlands equivalent of the Eden Project. The deepest part of the quarry (centre-right section of the photograph) could make a small lake as an additional feature of such a project, with biomes to the far side.
as this speculative material isn't suitable for an encyclopedia, doesn't cite sources and is against the no original research policy. It's a good point though. :-) CecilWard (talk) 14:15, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Limekilns
editI found this image on Commons while looking for images of Wootton. If anyone knows anything about these disused limekilns it'd be great to have a section on them. Seems like there was loads happening in this area. Ka Faraq Gatri (talk) 22:42, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
