Arizona .svg location maps-inaccurate
editThe State .svg maps are only accurate at the exact center point of the map, for each of the 50 states, (see Talk:Four Corners Monument).
I'm continuing in Arizona articles, near the center of the State. When I do a specific article on a state border, (any state, .svg map, I'll point out the problem.)
The 2 maps for the Weaver Mountains, .PNG and .svg are very close: Note the Four Corners, and the Glen Canyon Dam....all 50 states have this .svg problem.
From the results on the Maps: (all perimeters, all states, messed-up)(center of states, OK)
- Four Corners-(wow)-(Note, the DOT's in the right spot on the MAP, but the corner of the MAP, is not the corner of the state. !)
- Glen Canyon Dam, (close, but no cigar)
- Weaver Mountains, (and Yarnell, ) (hard to see the difference)
(see also: Talk:Four Corners Monument, Talk:Dendora Valley, and Talk:Aravaipa Creek(where I first found the problem)){close to the state border !)
Soo....this problem for all 50 states, .svg maps needs to be resolved...(from the HOT-sonoranDesert, arizonaUSA)...Mmcannis (talk) 05:52, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
