Why is this page missing the 2002 election? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.240.126 (talk) 20:09, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Poor lead

edit

I quote from the Manual of Style:

The lead section (also known as the introduction or the lead) of a Wikipedia article is the section before the table of contents and first heading. The lead serves both as an introduction to the article and as a summary of the important aspects of the subject of the article. The lead should be able to stand alone as a concise overview of the article. It should define the topic, establish context, explain why the subject is interesting or notable, and summarize the most important points.

The current lead doesn't meet the above at all. It's rather a description of what is happening in the Wellington CBD. Only in the body of the article does one find out that this article is about an electorate. Hence, I've tagged the article. Schwede66 09:05, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: page moved. Not sure what to do with the old page. Is there a primary use? Should there be a dab page? I'll let the editors here decide. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:31, 6 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wellington CentralWellington Central (New Zealand electorate) – Disambiguation from the Wellington suburb "Wellington Central, Wellington" with the same name is desirable. Schwede66 18:18, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Support – my view is that all New Zealand electorates should be named similarly, but in this case there is a clear need to disambiguate. Fan N | talk 20:58, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
