Feedback from New Page Review process
editI left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Please replace list of artists with an overview of Welsh hip-hop in general. Artists can be listed within the article, but should not be the only content in the article, and should not be placed in individual sections..
Welsh hip-hop history... pre-2000s
editLeaving this here... as I'm at a bit of a loss on what to do next...
Inspired by hiphop's 50th anniversary and the recent retrospectives of hiphop - especially Fly Fidelity's excellent interview with DJ Jaffa... it seemed pretty clear that some of the earlier pioneers of the Welsh hip-hop scene are not represented here. In fact, that podcast mentions how poorly represented it is.
So I had a crack at pulling together a profile for DJ Jaffa himself... but, even though I tried repeatedly to conform to the Wikipedia standards, I ultimately fell short of their expectations and the moderators removed it. The conclusion seemed to be that he was not "notable" enough to warrant his own article. Whilst I appreciate all the hard, unpaid work moderators do here to try and maintain quality, I must admit I'm at a loss in how to justify/explain/promote how one of a country's recognised pioneers in a musical genre and cultural movement deserves the recognition.
Anyways... appreciate any ideas... and, for the record, I've shared what I wrote here (feel free to repurpose as you wish) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G0ITx2wB1sJ4R02MIMcz2vIjkDxLkDTy9oh7vWYtx30/edit?usp=sharing Testedonanimalsuk (talk) 11:28, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
