Mentioning stores with no articles is WP:SPAM. To be perfectly clear, Wikipedia does not promote small businesses who "need" the publicity. We mention only those who don't. For example, not in this context, but everyone has heard of McDonald's fast food in the US. Mentioning it, would not increase their business nor be considered an ad. But mentioning places that are small, would be considered as ads. These businesses should instead, use .com pages to promote themselves. Alternately, they could try to insert articles about themselves, I suppose. Student7 (talk) 13:26, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

They are not small. They are all multinational retail stores. Take Mr. Price for example. Opened in 1885, it has been listed on the Johannesbug Stock Exchange since 1952. They don't have articles yet because of the systematic bias, not because they are small.--TM 13:32, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
