editI don't think this should be a disambiguation page because West Ham Bombers does not refer to 2 separate things, it is only one thing, and also links shouldn't go to disambiguation pages.
I originally moved a redirection from Romford Bombers to West Ham Hammers because if a team just changes nickname, it doesn't necessarily merit a new entry, and therefore the link to West Ham Hammers as the team name West Ham and the West Ham track was stronger than the link to Romford Bombers as the nickname Bombers.
I appreciate the riders and promotion also moved from Romford to West Ham, but if this rule was followed everywhere there would be chaos. The promotion then moved again within a year to Barrow Bombers, and elsewhere the team name is the best rule of where to group them. A good example is Oxford Rebels moving to White City Rebels, but Oxford Rebels page redirects to Oxford Cheetahs, because the page is for Oxford Speedway and the most common nickname throughout the clubs lifetime is used as the page name. You have to have some consistency and i think the town name rather than nickname is the best method to group them.
Alternatively a page could be created just for West Ham Bombers, but i don't think a disambiguation page, or a redirect to Romford Bombers is correct. Rcclh (talk) 14:37, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
