Sorry to intrude: noticed errors or conflicts with Religion and Poverty...it may be just a mix up between East and West Timor. 73.138.48.231 (talk) 15:51, 28 March 2021 (UTC) pswebster
Aid worker attack not neutral
editIn the intro section had some random mention of a Sept 2000 attack on UN aid workers. Tragic yes, but in the intro section of a country with the population of several million? All it serves is to plant "West Timor Bad" into the mind of the reader. Surely some equally good thing occurred in 2000 worth mentioning?
I didn't know where that news item should be put so for now it's just commented out in the source. Jeff Carr 11:35, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
- Information on the attack on UN aid workers is neutral (see WP:NPOV), but it is an unpleasant fact. Unfortunately, when you search the web for information on West Timor, the vast majority of it covers this one event. Whilst a single event affecting only a few individuals, it seems to rank very high in the web's view of the country. Josh Parris#: 04:51, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Economy
editI'm revamping the economy section. Someone reverted my documented information to data that appears to be a decade old. Please don't provided unsourced information just to support your political views.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.134.210.107 (talk • contribs)
- Of course keep the article as factual as possible - if you have up to date and reliable referenced material must always be used. But please don't assume anyone's edit that disagree with yours is motivated inappropriately - in this case POV. If I have missed the evidence of such motivation, please show it. --Merbabu 01:12, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
