When the writer of this article says that the plant "was operated successfully from 1966-72", do they mean it was successful in making a huge, highly radioactive mess?

I bet they never escrowed money in order to process and clean up "660,000 US gallons (2,500 m³) of highly radioactive liquid waste" which was generated.

West Valley nuclear reprocessing plan was in reality a disaster!

In "Who's Poisioning America", Ralph Nader, Ronald Brownstein, and John Richard devote an entire chapter to West Valley. Not only was the reprocessing plant unsafe when it was operating, but it continues to pose a grave threat to the residents of West Valley for the next 200,000 years! This needs to be mentioned in greater detail on the wiki page.

There are a few issues that need to be rectified in this article. For instance, workers at NFS were exposed to the highest doses of radiation of any chemical workers in the country, why are chemical workers getting a significant radiation dose? Article outdated

This article is extremely outdated and can probably be classified as a stub. I'm no expert on WVES but I know people who are. As the only kind of waste disposal site like this in upstate NY it should have a better article and title.
